"Hello, my name is Rachel Pilkington and I am the owner of Life Photography specialising in Family and Children's Portrait Photography.

I am the mother of two children; I started my adventure over 7 years ago and have not looked back.
Previously I worked as a fashion model for 10 years, therefore experienced working in state of the art studios worldwide with some of the worlds best photographers such as David Bailey, Mario Testino, John Swannell, Barry Lategan ( famous for the face of Twiggy) and many others.
I was fascinated by the talent I was surrounded by and my passion soon moved from modelling to photography as a I gathered information from all these wonderful photographers to create my own style.
I gave birth to my first daughter in 1999 and like all mums fell in love with my new baby. Of course the first thing I did is reach for my camera and before I knew it taking pictures of my little Poppet was the start of an incredible journey.
By the time my second daughter arrived in 2001 I had set up a small studio in my living room with a backdrop and some lights and before I knew it I was inundated by parents and nursery groups asking me to take pictures for them. By 2003 I realised I needed a bigger studio as I was asked to take pictures of large family groups and my small living room could not hold everyone!
I therefore set up a Life Photography studio in Bromley with the support of my husband and we have gone from strength to strength.
I now have a business doing something I love and fantastic staff who make everyone who comes through the door welcome, along with well trained photographers who ensure some wonderful pictures at the end of an enjoyable experience. Even through the recession, while other studios around us have closed down we are still enjoying regular customers through our Poppets group and new customers who have heard of our professional and friendly reputation. We have over 2,500 Poppets customers in the Bromley area who regularly come to us to update their children's pictures, with hundreds of other studio customers enjoying photographic sessions with us".
We are now offering an exciting opportunity to run your own photographic business either from home or as a mobile studio, with the backing of a great brand and the knowledge we have built up over many years.
You may have little or no experience - if so - Dont worry! We offer a full training course to help you learn what you need to know to successfully take great pictures and run your own photography business without feeling under pressure. You will come into our studio in Bromley which is a fun welcoming environment and be well looked after learning how to use the camera, lighting, and understand composition, marketing, administration, and some basic photoshop skills.
You will leave feeling you have had an enlightening, enjoyable experience and have the confidence to make your business work from day 1.
Our Portrait Franchise fee is only £3,995 + VAT as a special introductory price for the first 3 people
